I'm a wedding photographer based in Minneapolis, drawn to the moments that happen between the posed ones. The ones nobody planned for, but everybody remembers. I came to photography sideways — not through art school or a mentorship, but through a cousin's wedding and a borrowed camera. That was twelve years ago. I never really gave it back. These days I spend my Saturdays in rooms full of people who love each other, trying to stay out of the way long enough to catch something real. It's the best job I've ever had and I mean that every time.
There was a wedding — maybe my third or fourth — where the couple had asked for very little. No formal portraits, no posed family shots, just whatever I saw. I spent the whole day feeling slightly terrified that I wasn't doing enough.
The gallery came back and it was the best work I'd ever made. I've shot that way ever since.
SEE THE WORK
The ones that happen in the ten seconds after the ceremony ends. The way your dad looked at you when he thought nobody was watching. The blurry, imperfect, completely unplanned moments that end up being the ones you actually frame.
That's what I'm looking for every single time I show up with a camera. Not the shot list. Not the timeline. The real thing.
A spare battery and my grandmother's rings. One is practical. The other is for luck.
NEVER WITHOUT
The same three Phoebe Bridgers albums on rotation. My second shooters have started requesting aux privileges.
ALWAYS LISTENING TO
Shooting on film. I picked up a second hand camera six months ago and I don't think I'll ever fully go back.
CURRENTLY OBSESSED WITH
Cry at every single wedding. Every single one. Twelve years, hundreds of weddings, zero exceptions.
KNOWN TO
Film photography isn't making a comeback. It never left. The rest of you are just catching up.
MY HOT TAKE
Rewatching The Bear on a Sunday night with a very large glass of wine. No notes.

INQUIRE NOW
I'm based in Minneapolis but I go where the wedding is. If you're planning something somewhere on this list — or somewhere not on it — I'd love to hear about it.
